Sources close to Microsoft, told Tech Dweller that Windows 8 Beta will be released for public use till February 2012. The Announcement was much expected after the small events showcasing the new born power and beauty of the new version of Windows OS lineup.

The release date of the Beta is in itself was a big debate. The debate was over what new features can be expected from Windows except the new Metro UI already confirmed. From, what we have seen so far, the UI for computers is a bit similar to Windows 7′s user Interface but this is not final. Microsoft has yet not disclosed the date of completion for the Project. Windows 8 Launch date, therefore remains a myth. If we bring Windows 7 release with context to Windows 7 then we are guessing a release date around about June of the next year, Fingers Crossed.

I was unable to confirm exactly what will be in the Windows 8 beta itself. The feature set is not yet nailed down. It will be decided, as always, by the engineers working on the project deciding which components are ready for release. So, no word yet on the email function currently missing from the developer preview of the OS, and if it will be in the beta.  We’ll keep you up to date as we hear from our sources.


While the beta version will be out in February 2012, Windows 8 continues to make progress and we hope that we get as much features as we can in the Beta version of the new, awaited OS. Windows 8.
