Sundar Pichai, who heads the Google Chrome browser and the Google Chrome OS initiatives, told The Hindu that he would be surprised “if Chromebooks are not shipped in India by early 2012.” He didn’t discuss the price though.

The Chromebooks are predicted to be priced somewhere between RS. 15,000 to RS. 40,000 depending on the feautures it will be coming with. The Chromium OS with it will be free and Google will provide the user with a free Cloud Server to store there data. Like in Android, Chromebooks will be manufactured by different companies like Samsung, Dell etc.
